Note: Bill's Whole Name, William Thanel or Willian Jesse

Known family members lists his middle as "Thanel". 

Many list his middle name as "Jesse". Family search [William Jesse Martin (1832–1898), Elizabeth Ann May (1835–1898) | FamilySearch] lists him as Jesse. The 1860 Lawrence County Census liss his mother as Rachel, 50 years old.

This tree has him linked to the wrong mother and father. I have not found any information where his complete name is listed. I seem to remember relatives of America Tennessee Martin May mentioning a Thanel and a Jesse.

The 1850 Lawrence County US Census lists Rachael Martin and her sons Jessee and Harris living with Martha Fuller and her son Bejamin
