Funeral services for Clarence Luther May, 83, retired farmer, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Mack Pinkelton, Baptist minister. Burial took place at the Hughes Cemetery near the Giles-Lawrence County line. Mr. May died Sunday, October 23, at the home of his son, Lee May, on Route 5, Pulaski.
A native of Lawrence County, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George H. May. His wife, Mrs. Tassie Sparkman May, is deceased.
Mr. May is survived by two sons, Lee May, Pulaski, and Clarence May, Jr., California; one daughter, Mrs. B. A. Davis, Washington, D. C.; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Monnie May, Giles County, and Eugene May, Oregon; and one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Johnson, Wisconsin.

Ella Jewel May, age 90, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was a native of Lawrence County and of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James May Sr.; parents: John Barnes and Cordelia Tease; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons: James E. May Jr. (Karen), Robert May (Evelyn); daughter: Linda Foust; sisters: Frances Ingram, Charlene Foust (Junior); grandchildren: Paul Foust (Andrea), Tammy Morrow (Doug), Connie Estes (Todd), James Garner; great-grandchildren: William Paul Foust Jr., Caitlin Estes, Bryan Barnett, Nicole Barnett, Heather McKinley, LeeAnn Guess; great great-grandchildren: Olivia Gordon, Dakoda Gordon, Airanna Barnett, BrieAnna Guess, Jewel-Ann Kurk, Maddison Kurk, Mark Foust.
Funeral services for Ella Jewel May were held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Caleb Cozart officiating. Interment followed at Leoma Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Amelia Clark May, 51, Frankewing housewife, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Pulaski Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Mack Pinkelton, Baptist minister. Burial took place in the Hughes Cemetery in Lawrence County. Mrs. May died early Tuesday morning, December 11, at the home at Frankewing after several months illness.
Born November 11, in Colvis, Calif., she was the daughter of Frederick Clark and Mrs. Alice Jackson Clark who survive.
She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church at Fresno, Calif.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. May is survived by her husband, Lee May; two sons, George May, Fresno, Calif., and John May, Frankewing; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Haislip, Huntsville, Ala.; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Frederick Clark, Jr., Jackson Clark, and Hugh Clark.
